Omkareshwara Temple

The Omkareshwara Temple in Madikeri is really unique. Its a shiva temple in mosque style and I guess has been constructed during the Tipu Sultan era. The best part of it is that the resounding of the chants in the Sanctum Sanctorum due to the dome. It reverberates in your ears and heart.

Some poses from Ani

Republic day parade

Lalbagh in its glory...

I was disappointed! May be I had too many expectations. The flowers were not at all fresh. Except for some orchids, it was not all that special. The photos below are the best ones I have got! :(

Tea Flower

OK this is something new. I have never see this flower before. Its fragrance was close to that of the lemon flower and it looks like it too. So verified it several times. But it is a flower from the tea plant. I guess there might other varieties to this depending on the kind of tea.

Ani turns One!

Aniruddha turns one today. This day last year we were at Venkatagiri looking at his tiny tiny arms and legs and wondering how on earth we will care for him. Today he is unmanageable like mercury... wouldnt stay in hand for more than a minute, ofcourse unless he is sleepy or cranky. He has learnt so many new things and now knows how to say "NO".

Happy Birthday Aniruddha!

Its Dinner time

"And I am going to have dinner like you." Nothing might (will) go in but a lot will go on the floor. Ani has a special way of eating food. He has to first put the rice on the floor and then start pecking at each grain. Folklore has it that the food eaten this way gives the baby hundred times more strength than normal feeding. Ofcourse that doesnt mean he has to feed himself... given his way, he would love to.

"Here I come! I cant walk but I can run"

Ani's Grandpa gifted him this new mobility. So forget about all the stages in between crawling and walking, he is straight away running! Its difficult to catch him when he is on this walker err... runner.

Another development, right in front of you. Its his two bunny teeth :) He is not shy of showing it off to everybody in town.

A New Milestone

We have started our journey into our fourth year. This has been such an eventful year. In the third year we became a family of three (or as some would say, we became a family.)

Aniruddha started crawling two weeks ago, and nothing on ground is the new policy at home.

Touch-pad

"I cant reach the keyboard yet, but I will work with the touchpad for now."

For some reason, he knows doing something on the keyboard or the touchpad (the bottom portion) makes the screen work. This observation is pretty significant!

Hold me tight

Really dont know who is holding whom?

Whether he is holding me or I am holding him? Am I his support or he is mine? Small, yet so strong.

Mobility

Aniruddha turned on his tummy (25th Feb at 3:30PM IST), first step towards mobility. The question is what drives this? To a certain extent it is genetic I guess.
